Music Ministry

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to exhort, uplift, and encourage the body of Christ through praise and worship. The Music Ministry encompasses the Praise Team, Adult choir, and Youth choir. Members of the Music Ministry must be faithful members of the Tree of Life Christian Ministries. They must strive to live according to God’s will and purpose and be on one accord in mind and heart according to the word of God.

A key component of the Music Ministry is the praise and worship portion of the service on Sunday mornings or other functions when called upon by the pastor. The significance of praise and worship is of profound importance in the lives of the children of God. The word Praise is derived from a Latin word meaning value or price. Thus, to give praise to God is to proclaim his merit and worth in the life of the individual who praises him.

Children’s Ministry

Our Sunday School program includes classes for K – 6th Grade. In these elementary classes, children are taken through an overview of the Bible and are also involved in learning from the Children’s book for classes. While we believe that parents are responsible for the religious education of their children, we strive to assist parents in this task.

Women’s Ministry

Women’s ministry exists to teach women to serve as a Godly Christian women to both themselves and others. This ministry seeks to enable women to be spiritually and practically relevant to women and to their families. Jesus also called women into a ministry. One example being the woman at the well. Women are called to nurture, support and enable women as well as men. This entails women sharing their resources as well as sharing the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ to others. This involves women mentoring other women, particularly younger women, especially in the teaching of the Word.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s ministry is to equip men with Godly purpose so that they can be effective leaders in their homes as well as in the nation. One must not forget that Jesus called men into His ministry. A ministry to men is important as men need to learn to be Christian leaders especially when they become husbands and fathers. Men are called to be the head of their household, to lead their household in prayer and the reading of the Word. For men who are husbands you have a unique opportunity to be a blessing to your wife based on how you treat her. Men need to see themselves as chosen by God and full of promise and possibility. Men need fellowship, prayer, bible study and worship. Men generally learn by example.

Men’s ministries are to teach men to be effective leaders both spiritually and practically. A man must first learn how to lead himself and his family before he can lead a ministry. Being in the men’s ministry is an opportunity to learn to be a Godly man and also to help a man to learn those practical skills that were not learned in earlier years. Men in ministry are called to mentor other men including young men.
